Lone Black Dog is the third EP by George Street. The EP was recorded at Hytte Studios in Allestree, Victoria on Gunditjmara Country. It was written over the course of three years and follows Greg's journey from the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria to the Southern reaches of the Gold Coast in Queensland. It explores themes of isolation, loneliness and frustration, with the ocean as an ever-present compass throughout the journey. It opens with songs longing for warmer weather and happier times and closes with a track wishing for rain. Greg and Ryan use their pensive song writing to muse that perhaps the grass is not always greener.
